Flu Clinics 2021/22

We have now commenced booking of flu vaccine appointments at the Surgery. The new eligible cohort of 50-64 has been confirmed as continuing for the 21/22 flu season. Due to COVID-19 we will again be running fixed date vaccination clinics, by pre-booked appointment only and at the present time midweek only. We will monitor demand and if required will look to offer a weekend or alternative clinics. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will be operating the clinics with social distancing and infection control measures in place. Please wear a face mask, use the hand sanitiser and arrive only at your pre-booked appointment time as there is only a limited waiting area. Please follow the instructions from our staff when you arrive and follow the one way system. Please do not attend with a family member that does not have an appointment, or has a later date/time as we will be working from strict pre-booked appointment lists. If you are attending surgery for any other pre-booked appointment outside of the flu vaccine clinics you can receive your flu vaccine at the same time, but do please advise the GP or Nurse that you have a scheduled appointment so that this may be cancelled and offered to another patient. If you are unsure if you are eligible, please speak to us or email us and we can confirm. Please note eligible criterias have changed over the years so if in doubt, do please ask us to check.

Finally, thank you for being so patient with us this year. We know it’s been confusing and it may feel as though we’re being unhelpful by not booking your vaccination or not letting you wait in the waiting room
Although we are open as usual we need to make sure that we don’t have too many patients in the waiting room at any time so that we can maintain social distancing.
The Practice is a place where the people who visit are sick, frail or elderly and we must do everything we can to keep you all safe.
Thank you for your understanding.
